 The half dome hike is one of the best in Yosemite. T-shirts are available in the valley for those who complete this hike. The beginning of the hike is along beautiful mist trail. This part can get become a traffic jam due to the inability to pass people, so start early. After you pass the two waterfalls the trail is pretty standard until you get close to the top. The last mile rewards you with great views. The final point before turning around is a scramble up the back side of the dome using cables. If you have climbing gloves bring them. They aren't required, but may help with calluses. Sitting on top of half dome and peering down into the valley makes this an amazing hike.
